About Funky Monkeys
We offer an Out-Of-School service for Moorfield Primary school and also offer the Governments * HAF program during Easter and part of the Summer holidays. This is a free Holiday Activity club for children age 4- 11 eligible for free school meals. * (Subject to funding)
Our activities incorporate the Early Years Foundation stage. Whatever a child's abilities, we incorporate the needs of all our children.
Our staff are also very experienced in many areas of special needs, abilities and medical conditions.
Our highly qualified staff have many years experience, and continually develop their skills through on-going training. As an OFSTED registered provision, all staff have Enhanced DBS clearance.
We have great relationships with our local schools and nurseries and are registered with Halton's Children's Information Services. We also attend regular network meetings organised by Halton Borough Council.
We love visits from our local Community Support Officer and Cheshire Fire Services, who are very popular, if the Fire Engine turns up too.
As we are not an educational setting, but a fun, relaxing and safe place where your child can play with friends, paint, build, exercise or just sit and read a book. We produce weekly activity plans based on topics often chosen by our children.
Both are not an OFSTED Requirement.
All staff are also trained in Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding, Prevent and Fire Safety.
OFSTED Out-of-School child/staff Ratios can now be 1-30. We never go above 1-10 and are usually less. Child safety, not profit, is our main priority.

Our qualified staff have many years experience in childcare, and continually develop their skills through on-going training. This helps us to keep up-to-date with current legislation and all OFSTED requirements.
As an OFSTED registered provision for 4-11 year olds, all staff have Enhanced DBS clearance..

We make sure that all current childcare ratios are adhered to and that children are provided with enough space and resources, to have a fun and safe time with us.

How do I register my child(ren)?
Registering at Funky Monkey's Kids Club is an easy-peasy process. Simply follow the steps below and your little Monkey will soon be a Funky Monkey.
Contact us by email or telephone us during Opening Hours to check we have vacancies for the sessions you require.
We can send you a registration form to complete, or pop in and meet us to have a quick look around. (Email ahead to book a visit)
Return your completed form to us and we will process your registration
We will then return a copy of your booking form to you, along with our Welcome pack that has all the relevant information you will need.
including your monthly fees payment and start date.

How do I pay my fees?
GUARANTEED FEES are due on the first of each month and must be received by the 3rd to continue your place. You can pay by Bank Transfer, Childcare Vouchers or Standing Order, to the bank details on your registration form.
A monthly Invoice will be emailed to you prior to the 1st of each month.
EXTRA SESSIONS (Subject to vacancies) can be booked by emailing
funkymonkeyskidsclub@yahoo.co.uk.
Payments are due once your requested dates have been confirmed and reserved for you.
Once payment has been received, a confirmation receipt will be sent and your booked sessions will then be added to our registers.
Once places are booked, they cannot be swapped and are non refundable.
How are my Guaranteed places calculated?
We calculate your weekly fees by the number of school weeks your child will attend, and divide them by how many months are left till the end of the school year. (Max payable 1st September - 1st July)
This means your fees don't alter each month, unless you change your sessions. Monthly fees are usually less than expected.
Can I alter my guaranteed sessions?
Yes of course! Guaranteed places will require two weeks notice to amend or cancel sessions.
What is the deadline for a last-minute Extra booking?
We need as much notice as possible to book our vacant sessions. Most parents will book monthly sessions in advance.
Ideally the Thursday before the week you need us would be our deadline, as
we finalise our Weekly Registers every Thursday for the coming week, to make sure adequate staff are present, to adhere to the correct ratios and we also pass the information on to the School to ensure a smooth handover.
We may take emergency last minute pick ups, if we have vacancies and the correct staff are on shift. Contact the club direct as Emails may not be picked up in time.

Opening hours dependent on receiving Government Funding
Activities such as Pizza making, Mobile Zoo and Puppet shows. Park visits and Craft activities plus lots of toys and games to play, are organised for children in receipt of free school meals.

It all starts here
The Funky journey began in 2006, renting classrooms from Halton Borough Council, at one of the local primary schools.
Bigger and Better
Because our funky family keeps on growing. We expanded next door for more space for games, discos, outdoor Play Yard and all sorts of stuff for our monkeys to get up to!
Here for good!
Funky Monkey's Kids Club is now a well established and experienced childcare provider for the local community. Who knows what the future holds?
Time for an upgrade
2009 meant we could expand to an even bigger premises at Bancroft Road, opposite the brilliant Crow Wood Park. It's our new home!
